Earlier this year, Houselink and Mainstay received nearly $135,000 in funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in support of our Connect to Wellness program.

The program helps us supply our tenants and participants with cell phones and data plans they couldn’t otherwise afford. It is also helping us set up video conference centres in some of our buildings. As a result, some of the most vulnerable in Toronto can connect with doctors, service providers and loved ones. It also helps our staff increase their reach to more tenants and participants.

The pandemic has shown us the importance of virtual connections to combat social isolation and to get access to needed programs and services. Thanks to the Trillium Foundation, we can do more for those we serve and help create a stronger sense of belonging and community to those who need it most.
